All in the name of charidee // event photography Cornwall

After weeks of planning, weekly meetings, collecting generous donations and uber-organisation skills, my friend Hayley hosted her auction and fundraising event last night, all in aid of the neonatal unit at Treliske.

The evening went off without a hitch, loads of people came along and a heyooge amount of money was raised.  At the last count, £3700 was the figure we’d hit, and there is still money coming in.

I ran a photo booth for the event, people paid £1 to have their photos taken and the images will appear for sale here on my website over the next few days.  I’ll be editing and uploading as and when I can, so pop back regularly to check for new photos added.  Just go to the ‘clients’ link in the menu at the top of the page, and click on the LOVEneonatal gallery.

Thanks everyone for being such sports on the night, I had such a blast running the booth and just loved seeing which props people chose and some of the fabulous poses you came up with!

Finally… if you’ve seen the booth setup and think it looks like fun, I offer this service for weddings, birthday parties, festivals and other events.

Everyone had sooo much fun with all the crazy props you’ve got! Its a fab idea, the pics are amazing and it is something totally different. I don’t think we would have pulled such a big crowd without the photobooth-it was a real attraction. Thanks so much Don, you worked like a trojan as usual, and the results are incredible which is now the standard from DSP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks guys for the lovely comments. I had a ball doing the booth and hope lots of people buy images afterwards to raise even more dosh for this great cause.

Cheery chap and his ballerina sister

This weekend I shot (with my camera!) a very gorgeous 5 month old and his 4 year old sister.  Little Henry had only just woken up when I got there but was full of smiles from the second I arrived.  I got on with the snapping while his sister entertained us with her superb ballet moves and singing.

Oh, these are so precious – the one of the two of them together is sweet – really lovely, and they’re so alike!

Oh my gosh. The first picture is absolutely stunning!

Introducing… the photo booth

What better way to get some fun pics at your wedding, a birthday party or an event, than to have a photo booth with some fancy dress props?

I’ll be taking the photo booth setup out for it’s first event next weekend, when my lovely friend is holding a fundraising event for Treliske neonatal unit.  If you fancy a good night out, be sure to pop along.  More info on the LOVEneonatal website.

In the meantime though, here’s a few pics from our ‘practise run’.  Well, it had to be done…

I love photobooths. They are ridiculously fun, especially for weddings!

Good morning

I am trying to find a photographer for our wedding day on Sat 27 April 2013, are you available on this date? We are marrying in St Michaels church Helston with the reception being held at Tregenna Castle, St Ives.

If so what kind of packages do you offer for wedding photography?

We would also be interested in the photo booth too!

Many thanks

Ashleigh Batchelor

Bit of a homepage revamp

So, I’ve had bit of a revamp of the website.  I had lots of feedback via my facebook page and hopefully having taken everyone’s views into account have come up with something that you’ll like.

My blog isn’t the first thing you see now when you go to www.donnasharpephotography.com, instead you get a purdy slideshow of photos.  You can still keep up to date with what I’m up to on my blog though, just click the ‘blog’ link up in the menu at the top of the page.

Any feedback, as always, gratefully received peeps.  Hope ya like the changes:)

Smiley six month old // family portrait photography cornwall

Earlier this month I did a photo shoot with the lovely Mandy and Mike, and their gorgeous six month old son.  A most chilled afternoon, the little fella was a delight.  Entertained by the grown-ups renditions of ‘the wheels on the bus’ and other such classic nursery rhymes, we were treated to lots of lovely smiles.
